The Living Legacy
Our story began long before this digital space; it was forged in the red clay of the Lowcountry and tempered by a century of resilience. It is a lineage rooted in the courage of my Great-Grandfather, a Spanish-American War Veteran and Buffalo Soldier, who understood that protection and discipline are the foundations of a strong life.
That strength was nurtured by my Great-Grandmother and Grandfather, who carried the baton of tradition forward, and it found its voice in the 100-year journey of my Great-Uncle Alvin. As a 3rd-generation herbalist, he served his community with the 'pharmacy of the earth' when modern systems were out of reach.
This wisdom was my father’s inheritance—a Gullah Geechee way of life that raised six children on the quiet, powerful knowledge of the soil. Today, I stand as the steward of this lived experience. At Root N Rhythm, we aren't just sharing remedies; we are continuing a 100-year walk toward health, independence, and the rhythmic healing that has sustained our family for generations
